EVALUATION

STORYBOARD & IDEAS

With the storyboard we combined our ideas to create our final idea.

1st SHOOT

For the 1st shoot Frank was the director taking care of the camera-shots and making sure we were on schedule.
Edward took care of props and made sure we had the right props in each scene. I controlled the camera and took directions from Franklin. We had two actors which worked well.

2nd SHOOT

For the second shoot Frank directed again but one of our actors didn't turn up which meant Edward had to be the cinematographer and props, we decided for me to act as i was similar to the character described. This wasn't a problem as we were organized and were focused on the task ahead.

3rd SHOOT

For the 3rd shoot we decided as a group to act ourselves. Franklin directed and was the cinematographer. Ed and I acted. We all had our own input into camera-shots and angles etc.
After a few problems we had we lost focus on character and mise-en-scene but we made sure we finished our film and took care of camera-shots.

EDITING & SOUND

As Franklin and I had experience in editing we took controlled left Edward to create soundtracks, sound effects etc. using soundtrack pro.

We could have been a bit more organized towards the end, but it worked out well even with the setbacks.

The evaluation power-point was split evenly between our group, which made the workload less and meant we had our own input.

'DARK DAYS' FINAL FILM

EDITING & SOUND

Soundtrack Pro
Final Cut Pro

Garageband

These are screenshots from Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro and Garage Band where we edited our film.
The software we used enabled us to create intriguing and complicated ideas without using too much effort and time.

CHARACTERS/PROPS/EQUIPMENT

Our characters were based on young teenagers of different backgrounds.
One was wealthy, private school the other lived on an estate, parents received benefits but somehow they met.

From the first attempt of filming to the 3rd we had a few problems, actors not showing up, footage not being good enough and being on a tight schedule. Throughout this process we should have been more organised and kept our ideas in all shoots.

The last attempt of filming, two members of our group had to act and during we lost the ideas of the characters. Costumes weren't correct as the actors had completely changed.

LOCATION PICTURES 3

This was our final location, we decided to use it because it was away from civilisation. As there was no one around we had as much time as we wanted. this allowed us take care and make sure our work was up to a high standard. it also complimented our mise-en-scene and created an eerie atmosphere.

LOCATION PICTURES 2

In relationship with the mise-en-scene of our film this location fitted in very well. it was secluded, ample amounts of space, light was good. The only problem was after filming the shots taken and the camerawork were not up to a good standard and as a group we decided to reshoot and find another location which was even better.
