The opening of 'The Waterboy' combines speed and action, a lot is going on. there are very few effects used and basic camera shots. it gives an insight into what the rest of the story is about.
it starts of with an establishing shot of the environment consisting of a stadium which the main events of the story occur.
There are a few tracking which follow the action and get you involved in the film.
at the beginning of the film 'The Waterboy' played by Adam Sandler has unique facial expressions which are emphasized by using medium close ups but at the same time showing body language and movements.
The opening scene is simple but effective. it is easy to get into and the audience can easily understand the situation.
